The Gujarat Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) was constituted in 1972, following the enactment of the Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972. Its Chairman and Deputy Chairman are appointed by the State Government. It has 16 Ex-Officio Members, and 44 other members drawn from academic organizations, legislative bodies and civil society. Various Committees with specific responsibilities function under the Board. Such as: Executive Committee, Examination Committee, Finance Committee, Education Committee, Magazine Advisory Committee.Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, also known as GSHSEB, is busy examining the test papers of lakhs of students who took their SSC exams in the month of March.Even though class 10th results will be expected to declare on June, 2014, candidates start waiting for results from the starting of the month itself. But following the trends over the past few years, it is almost definite that students of X standard will be able to check their results only in the last few days of the month.
