The impetus for the big Telangana announcement comes from the fact that the national elections, in which the Congress will seek a third term in power, are just months away. Nearly half of the 42 parliamentary seats from Andhra Pradesh are housed in Telangana. So in making it a state, the Congress hopes to win big with voters.
The concerns of the non-Telangana regions are centered heavily on the future of Hyderabad and its muscular economy. The centre has reportedly decided to make the city a shared capital between the old and new states.A special meeting of the Union Cabinet has been convened on Wednesday, apparently to discuss the issue of separate Telangana state.
Sources said a special Cabinet meeting has been convened on Wednesday morning but did not disclose the agenda.
A routine meeting of the Cabinet has been convened for Thursday.
Earlier on the day, the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) unanimously endorsed the creation of a separate state of Telangana.

"The UPA unanimously decided in favour of Telangana," RLD leader Ajit Singh told reporters after a meeting of the constituents of the ruling coalition at the residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Replying to questions, there are "so many issues" but a decision was taken on Tuesday in favour of Telangana.
The decision to clear the path for Telangana was taken at a meeting of the coordination committee of the UPA, sources told Hindustan Times. This meeting will be followed by a meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) where the party is expected to endorse the formation of Telangana state.
A formal announcement will be made after the CWC meeting. There was no clarity on the status of Hyderabad. There is a proposal to include two Rayalseema districts in Telangana.
Telangana state will comprise 10 districts with Hyderabad as its capital. The Congress leadership has reportedly dropped the proposal for Rayala-Telangana, comprising Rayalaseema and Telangana in view of strong opposition from leaders of both the regions. It is also understood to have given up the idea of union territory status to Hyderabad due to reservations by Telangana leaders.
The other state comprising Rayalaseema and Andhra regions is likely to retain the name Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad is likely to be made joint capital of both the states for few years till Andhra Pradesh develops its own capital.
BJP demands bill on Telangana during Monsoon session
The BJP has charged the Congress with "dilly-dallying" on the issue and demanded that the UPA dispensation not just make an announcement but bring a bill on it in the monsoon session of Parliament.
"There has been a demand for giving statehood to Telangana with Hyderabad as the capital and an integral part of the state but Congress has been dilly-dallying on the issue. We do not know what it is going to do. Congress has betrayed the people of the region for the last 56 years," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.
The remarks came even as Congress top brass is engaged in a series of discussions on the issue amid indications that an announcement is imminent.
"We reiterate our demand for Telangana. We don't want Congress to only make an announcement but also bring a bill in Parliament in the monsoon session," Javadekar said, adding that it will be passed by both Houses.
The BJP MP recalled that Congress had made an announcement in Parliament on December 9, 2009 that the process of formation of Telangana has begun. "Three and a half years have passed since then but nothing has been done. The government has betrayed the people," he said.
Andhra CM Reddy junks reports that he will quit
Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kirankumar Reddy has dismissed as "rumour" reports that he has threatened to quit if the Congress gives its nod for formation of a separate Telangana.
"It's all rumour," he told reporters when asked about the reports.
Reddy's clarification came after his hour-long meeting with AICC general secretary (in-charge Andhra Pradesh) Digvijaya Singh.
Reddy, who hails from Rayalaseema region, is said to be strongly opposed to the division of the state.
Congress leaders from Andhra and Rayalaseema regions had held closed-door meetings with Reddy on Monday in Hyderabad.
'Why Telangana report was not discussed in Parliament'
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has questioned why the Union government did not table the Srikrishna Committee's report on Telengana before the Parliament for discussion.
Srikrishna Committee on Telangana or the Committee for Consultations on the Situation in Andhra Pradesh (CCSAP) was a committee headed by former chief justice BN Srikrishna to look into the demand for separate statehood for Telangana or whether to keep Andhra Pradesh united in its present form.
TDP MLA Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, who is also the party's Krishna district president demanded that the union government reveal the status of the report.
He alleged that the union government is preparing to take a unilateral decision without considering the pros and cons of bifurcating the state.
He also demanded that the union government must not take a decision against the wishes of the people of the Rayalaseema region.

Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test is abbreviated as RMAT. Desired candidates who desire to pursue Master of Business Administration program in the state of Rajasthan, must have to appear for RMAT entrance test.
How to get the application Form:
1.) The application forms can be collected from the selected branches of Punjab National Bank in person on payment of Rs.1000. The selected branches are located at Alwar (Shivaji Park), Kota (Aerodrome Circle), Ajmer (Kachahari Road), Jaipur, Jodhpur (Shastri Nagar), Bikaner (Rani Bazar), Chittorgarh (Pratap Nagar), Bhilwara (Bhupal Ganj), Bharatpur (Rajendra Nagar) and Sri Ganganagar (Birbal Chowk).
2.) The duly filled in application forms have to be sent to the coordinator, RMAT-2014, Rajasthan Technical University, Rawatbhata Road, Kota (Rajas than)-324022 by registered or speed post.
Exam Pattern: The test will consist of 200 multiple choice questions with 4 alternative answers. The correct choice of answer is to be filled in the OMR sheet using Black Ball Point Pen. Duration of the test will be 150 minutes (2.30) hour (2 and 1/2 Hours). There will be no negative marking for wrong responses given by the candidates.
The entire RMAT paper consists of questions on 5 areas namely Reasoning and Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, Mathematical Ability, English Language Proficiency and General awareness. The weightage for each section is given as follows:

From this year onwards, AICTE has made CMAT the only gateway to MBA admissions under government quota. Previously, it was the State-administered Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).

All India council for Technical Education (AICTE) conducts the Common Management Admissions Test (CMAT) 2014 as an entrance test for admission to 4000+ colleges that offer MBA and 500 colleges which run postgraduate diploma in management programs. The exam scores will be valid for admission to B-schools in India except the IIMs (Indian Institute of Management). The IIMs will continue to accept CAT scores as their admission criteria.
The CMAT is generally conducted twice in year in the months of February and September.
CMAT Eligibility
NOTE: The eligibility criteria for admission to Management programs (Diploma and Post Graduation) is as mentioned below
- Candidates who are graduates in any discipline or are in final year of their graduation can apply for CMAT 2014.
- In case of foreign nationals the eligibility will be as per recognition and equivalence standards notified by Association of Indian Universities.
NOTE: The eligibility criteria for admission to Management programs (Diploma and Post Graduation) is as mentioned below

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra will be declaring the results of Maharashtra Technical Common Entrance Test 2014 (MT CET) today. MHT CET 2014 Result have been announced today. Candidates, who have appeared for the exam, can check their MHT CET 2014 Result and know whether they have qualified for admissions to the various engineering courses in the colleges in the state of Maharashtra. MT CET 2014 Exam Results
The Students who have appeared for the Maharashtra CET 2014 can now check their MHT CET 2014 Result which have been announced on June 5, 2014.
Students can check their results by entering their Application Kit No and the Roll No.
Students must note that the admissions to the various engineering courses in the state of Maharshtra are on the basis of the MHT CET 2014 Result.
Students will have to obtain the MHT CET 2014 Result (Marks sheet) from the office of the Principal of their Jr. College/High School, where they have submitted their MHT CET Applications.
The candidates, who have submitted their application form directly to Divisional Authorities, will have to collect their MHT CET 2014 Result from the same Divisional Authorities.
In case of loss of original MT CET 2014 mark sheet, a duplicate mark sheet can be obtained with a application addressed to the Competent Authority along with a demand draft/pay order drawn of appropriate amount on any scheduled commercial bank in favor of ‘Competent Authority, MT CET, Mumbai’ payable at Mumbai.

The Directorate of Technical Education conducts Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) for admission to management programs; MHCET is accepted by over 80 institutes in Maharashtra. The institutes which qualify for the admission process as per the rules are Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Exam Pattern: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) is a single level management entrance exam consisting of 200 questions in total and the duration of the paper is of 3.00 hours (180 minutes). There is an added advantage for those who are taking the MH-CET exam as there is no negative mark in the paper. Apart from this there is no sectional division unlike other management exams. The question paper comprises questions from Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation/Sufficiency and Reasoning.
- Paper I : Physics & Chemistry (50 marks each)
- Paper II : Biology (Botany & Zoology - 50 marks each)

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is national level admission test conducted for the candidates of management students by IITs and IISc. The exam is specially designed for the candidates of Engineering and Masters in science. The eligible candidates of the examination get admission into the IITs or IISc for the post graduate program in management. How to get the application Form: JMET 2012 application form has to be submitted online. Submission of application forms by the online medium can be done by accessing the website of any of the IITs or IISc. There are two modes of applying based on the method of fee payment that you choose.

The common eligibility for appearing for the examination is four years engineering degree with 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10 from the recognized institute or university or the Masters degree in science. The M.Sc candidates must have 60% marks in the bachelors as well as the post graduate level. The candidate belonging to the reservation category will get needed relaxation in the minimum mark criterion. Specific admit card will be generated both for the candidates opted for the paper based test and for the computer based test
Admit card would be having candidate name, form number, roll number, test date, test time and test venue address
Candidate has to strictly follow the date and time allotted to them in the case of computer based test
Candidates applied for Computer Based Test and who have been permitted to appear for the Computer Based Test; have to down load the Admit Card 7 days before the Paper Based Test date from AIMA website. Candidates accessing the website the earliest can choose the Date and Time of his/her choice subject to availability. Those who have not opted the date and time slot for 4-5 days; will be automatically allotted date and time slot by the system. No request for change of date and time slot can be entertained.

Railway Ticket Booking Software of 2014,Tatkal Railway Reservation Software of 2014, Train Reservation Software of 2014,indian Railway Reservation Software of 2014Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a PSU under Railway Ministry, has been offering the service of booking e-ticket over the mobile phone, said a senior Railway Ministry official. After booking, the passenger will receive a reservation message with full details of the ticket including PNR, train no, date of journey and class.
"This virtual message would be treated at par with the print-out of the e-ticket which at present is taken out by the passengers and is known as Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS)," he said.
Hence, with the virtual message, passengers would not be required to take a print-out of e-ticket to be carried with them. Showing the reservation message of the confirmed ticket on their mobile during travel will be sufficient. Internet is required on mobile phones to book tickets through mobile.
The passenger has to register at the time of first transaction and thereafter book the ticket using his ID and password.
The service was introduced on a pilot basis for a few and now the more than a thousand users are availing this facility everyday, he said.
The service charge is similar to e-tickets-- Rs 10 for Sleeper class and Rs 20 for other higher class.
